If you’re into making new out of old, this one’s for you. The Elkhart Public Library is host Upcycled T-shirt Bags on Saturday. They say you just need to bring a t-shirt and you’ll be able to transform it into a tote bag. Just drop in from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bluegate is set with entertainment for you today and tomorrow. The Collingsworth Family is taking the stage on Friday, August 12, at 8 p.m. If that’s not your vibe in music, then check out One Night of Queen. It’s on Saturday, August 13, at 8 p.m. Tickets for both concerts are available online.

Looking for something a little more active and artsy to do? Downtown South Bend has you covered with Arts on the Race. You can celebrate the arts during East Race rafting. Artists will be displaying and selling their artwork as well. It’s happening on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. It’s free to attend.

Want to kick back and relax outside while watching a movie? You can do just that on Saturday during the Outdoor Film Series. The free screenings are happening at the Gridiron. There’s free parking on the street. You should bring your own picnic blankets, chairs, and snacks. Themed pre-movie activities start at 7 p.m.

Downtown Nappanee is hosting Friday Fest. It features live music, food and drinks, a bike and car show and more. There’s a food truck competition which lets guest vote on their favorite food truck. It’s happening on Friday from 5 until 9 on Clark Street.

And, one last music event, but this time in a more classical genre. It’s the third event in the free Community Foundation Performing Arts Series. You can look forward to hearing spiritual and gospel selection and a quintet from the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. There will also be a dance troupe. The theme for the concert is “Lifting Our Voices, a Celebration of African American Music and Dance.” You can bring a lawn chair to the Potawatomi Conservatories at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 13.
