The Berrien County Road Department says work on part of Red Arrow Highway in Chikaming Township will start Monday.

The road will be reconstructed between Main Drive and Lakeshore Road.

The project will include pavement milling, asphalt paving, drainage and structure improvements.

Lane reductions will be in place throughout the project, and drivers can expect possible delays in the work zone.

They’re advised to seek other routes to avoid delays.

One lane of traffic will be open in each direction throughout the project.

The work is expected to continue through October 31.
