Mother pleads guilty to death of 8-year-old son

A mother in St. Joseph pleaded guilty to the murder of her autistic 8-year-old son on Monday, August 15.

The mother, Mia Morrow told officials that her son would not eat or drink.

He weighed only 31 pounds at the time of his death.

WSBT reports that the boy’s parents took him out of a learning center, because they were tired of getting CPS called on them.

The parents did not tell anyone about their son’s death, until the day after.

Morrow’s plea agreement says she’ll serve at least 25 years in prison for the neglect and death of her son.

She is set to be sentenced on October 3.

Her husband, Brian Morrow was examine on Tuesday, August 16, at 8:20 a.m.
