La Porte County man found with meth during jail intake

A man was found with meth during a jail intake procedure in La Porte County.

It happened on Friday, August 12, when police were called to the 5000 block of S.R. 39 on reports of suspicious activity.

Officers later found the two suspects in the 1800 block of West U.S 20.

One man, 42-year-old Michael Bowen, was already a wanted person by the sheriff’s office and police department.

Bowen was taken to the La Porte County jail.

Police say that they found a black bag filled with meth on Bowen.

He faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
