For the 10th straight week, gas prices fell in The State of Michigan.
Many experts are now wondering how long that trend will last, as the state’s average price dipped to $3.88 per gallon. That price, reported Wednesday, was three cents lower than what was reported after the weekend. The state record-high price was set at $5.23 per gallon on June 11, and has dropped 25% since then.
Adrienne Woodland of AAA tells Bridge Michigan that the decreases “appear to be slowing down,” and if demand increases with the arrival of the Labor Day holiday, motorists could see prices rise slightly.
