Wallethub: Indiana has 4th most equitable school districts

Indiana has the 4th most equitable school districts in the U.S., according to a new study by Wallethub.

To find out where school funding is distributed most equitably, WalletHub scored 288 districts in Indiana based on two metrics: average household income and expenditures for public elementary and secondary schools per pupil.

According to the study, the most equitable school district in the state is New Prairie United School Corporation. The South Bend Community School Corporation ranked 10th.

Remember kids, equity and equality are not the same thing. In fact, the more “equitable” something is, the less likely it is to be equal… or fair.
