Saint Mary’s receives million-dollar program grant

St. Mary’s College has received a one million dollar grant.

The Lily Endowment has awarded the million dollars to St. Mary’s to enhance and expand the school’s on-campus educational summer programs for girls. The grant will be used to modernize the College’s existing summer youth programs, and introduce new ones over the next few years.

Much of the recruitment for the programs will target girls who might be the first in their families to attend college.

School President Dr. Katie Conboy says “Saint Mary’s is committed to broadening its impact as a place of lifelong learning for women and girls, and has an obligation to lead as the only women’s college in the state. Tommie Lee MNC News.
