A 9/11 remembrance ceremony will be held from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday at St. Patrick’s Park.

The ceremony will be held at the Standing Tall Freedom Memorial inside the park.

The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. followed by the National Anthem at 9:05 a.m. and a reading of The Remembrance at 9:10 a.m.

A ringing of the bell will take place at 9:15 a.m. followed by Taps at 9:20 a.m.

The ceremony is a collaboration between multiple police and fire units in St. Joseph County.

In addition, the annual “March To The Memorial” is also taking place Sunday. It starts on the south side of South Bend.

Walkers will make the 21-mile trek to the memorial at St. Pat’s Park. The walk is free, but you need to register, so organizers know how many people to expect. You can sign up at www.marchtothememorial.com. The first 40 to register will get a free t-shirt.

The walk begins at 9:11 a.m. on Sunday.
