A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Westville in LaPorte County.

It happened on Saturday, September 10, just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of U.S., 421 and U.S. 6 South Junction.

Police say that the driver of the motorcycle, 58-year-old Matthew Spicker, was heading west on U.S 6, did not stop at a stop sign, went into the intersection, and hit a van head on.

Spicker was taken to the hospital where he died.

The driver and passengers of the van were also taken to the hospital.
