Elkhart apartment fire

Six apartments were damaged after a fire in Elkhart on Monday, September 12, around 7 p.m.

The Elkhart fire department was called to Middlebury street on the report of a fire with children trapped inside.

The fire was under control by 7:30 p.m.

Fire crews say that no victims were found inside the building.

Two people were treated for minor injuries.

The six apartments face $75,000 worth of damage from the smoke, fire, and water

They say that the cause of the fire was an accident.
