A man was arrested after allegedly strangling and kidnapping a woman.

It happened on September 7, when South Bend Police were called to the area of Dubail and Taylor streets on reports of a kidnapping in progress.

When they arrived, officers found a woman hiding.

The woman told police that she was dating the suspect, 28-year-old, Jefferey Williams, for two months.

She says that Williams began to act paranoid, after the two got dinner, saying that people were out to get him and that the victim was cheating on him.

ABC 57 News reports that Williams picked up the victim, threw her, and began to strangle her.

Williams then allegedly made the victim drive him away from the house, saying if she tried to escape, he would kill her.

Williams was arrested and faces a slew of charges, including strangulation and domestic battery.

He is due in court on October 6.

Kidnapping, intimidation, death threats, strangulation, domestic battery, among other charges!!
30 years ago this guy would have been in for a world of hurt. Now he’ll probably only have to spend a long weekend behind bars.

See you out on the streets soon Jefferey!
