The smell of smoke prompted an evacuation from Northpoint Elementary School in Granger.

A staff member pulled the fire alarm around 9:20 a.m. on Friday, Sep. 16.

All students and staff made it outside in a safe manner.

Luckily, there was no fire or visible smoke inside the building. The smell of smoke came from a failed motor.

After about an hour, students were back in the building and classes resumed.
