Indiana top ten state for road rage

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

A recent survey from Forbes Advisor ranked the worst and best states for road rage and Indiana is in the Top 10.

Utah is number one, as the worst state for road rage, with more than 50% of drivers reporting rage from another driver.

Indiana placed 8th.

Folks in Indiana’s neighboring states appear to be more calm.

North Dakota was the best with nice drivers, then came Pennsylvania and Michigan.

There are some drivers who aren’t going to improve until they start getting pummeled for being bad drivers. I’m not condoning violence, but it certainly can be a good motivator to improve.

This was a survey though, and I would put forth that it has more to do with honesty than with road rage. Hoosiers are pretty blunt, but not every state will admit to being angered so easily.

This is not surprising. Take a typical 5-mile errand drive. Count the many drivers doing stupid while behind the wheel. Many drivers are doing everything else but driving as they were supposedly taught. My life and the lives of my loved ones are in danger every time they venture out to church, school, or to the store. Look how quickly we lost a very fine congresswoman and three others because someone was not paying attention or following the rules of the road.
