Today and tomorrow, you’ll find a stretch of a major South Bend street closed for paving.

Wednesday and Thursday, Miami Street will be closed from Ewing to Donmoyer. Crews are paving the worst sections of the street along that stretch, and weather permitting should be finished tomorrow.

The entire stretch of Miami between Calvert and Ireland was due to paved this year, but due to limited resources that street and seven others in the city will now be paved next year.

During this week’s project, drivers should detour using Fellows Street.
