A 61-year-old man is in the Elkhart County Jail on suspicion of child solicitation and other child-sex related crimes.

Police were called around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 25, to the 400 block of North 2nd Street in Goshen on the report of a man trying to solicit a 12-year-old girl.

During an interview with police, investigators say Nikki Strycker of Goshen admitted to arranging a meeting for sexual contact with the girl, as well as sending pornographic images to the person he believed to be a 12-year-old child.

He was also arrested on preliminary charges of providing obscene matter and inappropriate communication with a child.
