Prosecutors granted extension for charge Purdue student in killing roommate

Prosecutors have been granted an extension to charge Purdue student Ji Min Sha, who is accused of killing his roommate Wednesday.

WLFI reports that they will now have until October 13th to file the charges. Sha’s reason for killing his roommate was, “I was blackmailed.”

He is currently at the Tippecanoe County Jail.

20-year-old Varun Chheda was killed in his McCutcheon Hall dorm room.
