The cause of a garage fire that caused damage to a home is being investigated.

South Bend Fire crews were called around 6 p.m. on Thusday, Oct. 6, to the 1700 block of Churchill Drive where they found the garage fully engulfed.

A vehicle was inside the garage and the fire spread to the outside of the home. Some of the siding on the home melted due to the heat exposure.

There was no report of any injuries to homeowners, neighbors or firefighters.
