The City of Mishawaka is being sued nearly two years after a fatal crash that happened during a police pursuit.

On December 2nd, 2020, officers were pursuing a suspect after a breaking and entering when the suspect vehicle crashed into another car at East 13th and Spring Street.

Eighteen-year-old Elizabeth Johnson-Neher and 19-year-old Clayton McClish, who were not involved in the pursuit, were killed in the crash.

Now, the parents of Johnson-Neher are suing the city for the pursuit they’re calling “careless and negligent.”
