It’s 95 years in prison for the man who murdered 82-year-old Wilma Ball in June of last year.
Matthew Hoover was sentenced on Monday, Oct. 24, to the maximum for both charges he faced: 65 years for murder and 30 years for burglary.
The Steuben County prosecutor said the heinous nature of the crime was taken into consideration during sentencing.
Hoover was arrested in August of last year for the the deadly stabbing of the Lake James woman.
Back in August, Hoover entered into a plea agreement of murder and burglary. In exchange, attempted rape and attempted abuse of a corpse charges were dropped.
