It’s 60 years in prison for an 18-year-old man for his part in the murder of Vincenzo Trozzy.

It was back in December of 2020 when, according to court documents, Tayshawn Malczynski and Daniel Allen tried to rob Trozzy and a second person during a drug deal in Central Park in Mishawaka.

On Tuesday, Malczynski was sentenced to 20 years for voluntary manslaughter, 35 years for attempted murder and 5 years on the firearm enhancement. He was found guilty of attempted murder by a jury at trial in July, but they were unable to reach a verdict on the murder or robbery charges. He later pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and the firearm enhancement and the attempted robbery charge was dismissed.

As for Allen, he pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
