South Bend Mayor James Mueller will run for another term.

The mayor made the announcement Tuesday, saying “I believe in what South Bend can be.” He said he refuses “to give in to the politics of division, of fear, or despair.” The mayor said South Bend should embrace the politics of opportunity, growth, hope, and shared promise.

Together, he said, the city will rise and become a home where everyone can thrive.

Mueller was elected in 2019.
