A fire at Grace Church on Gumwood Road led to a day off for students who attend Granger Christian School. Crews were called to the church around 5:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, to find a small fire and heavy smoke inside the building.
ABC 57 News reports a decision was made to cancel classes since church and school leaders weren’t sure how long crews would be dealing with the fire.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the Clay Fire Department.
