Goshen woman killed in car-pedestrian collision

A Goshen woman trying to cross County Road 19 lost her life after being struck by a vehicle.

The collision happened around 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, when a Goshen man driving a Dodge Durango struck the woman as she tried to cross the road, just north of County Road 38.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators say 34-year-old Tiffany Jo Messner, was pronounced dead at the scene by Goshen paramedics.

The 40-year-old Goshen man behind the wheel was not injured.
