South Bend man arrested, running away from police during traffic stop

A South Bend man was arrested after allegedly trying to run from police during an attempted traffic stop.

It happened on Monday, December 12, at 4:00 p.m., when officers were patrolling and tried to stop a vehicle in the 2100 block of Prast Boulevard.

The car stopped briefly, before accelerating and finally stopping as the two in the car ran.

The driver, 29-year-old Daris Boles, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by serious violent felon, possession of cocaine, resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.
