South Bend International Airport’s Bears in the Air program to provide over 2500 teddy bears

South Bend International Airport’s 11th annual Bears in the Air program will provide more than 2500 teddy bears to children in six area hospitals. The bears are being delivered by SBN’s CEO & Executive Director Mike Daigle and SBN team members December 20 through December 22 to Saint Joseph Mishawaka & Plymouth Medical Centers, Beacon Children’s Hospital, Elkhart General Hospital, Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, and A Rosie Place for Children.

Tuesday, December 20:
9:00 a.m. Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center, 5215 Holy Cross Pkwy., Mishawaka, IN
11:00 a.m. Beacon Children’s Hospital*, 615 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN
2:30 p.m. Elkhart General Hospital*, 600 East Blvd., Elkhart, IN

Wednesday, December 21:
10:00 a.m. Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, 1234 Napier Ave., St. Joseph, MI
2:00 p.m. St. Joseph Plymouth Medical Center*, 1915 Lake Ave., Plymouth, IN

The bears offer companionship and smiles during a child’s difficult time. Each hospital will distribute the bears to young patients.

The Bears in the Air program has provided more than 17,000 teddy bears to children in area hospitals in the last eleven years.

Additionally, a cash donation to the Robert L. Miller, Sr. Veteran’s Center will take place in January.
