Burst pipe floods Orchards Mall

(95.3 MNC)

Major flooding has impacted Benton Township’s Orchards Mall, after a water main break.

Officials say it happened in the former Jimmy Jazz location in the mall, with water reaching all the way from the former JC Penney to the former Slackers Family Fun Center.

The owner of Doctor ZZZZ’Z Mattress Center told WNDU that roughly $80,000 worth of inventory in his store was destroyed. He says the water main break was likely the result of the lack of heat in the building.
