The City of South Bend’s trash pickup service will be delayed by one day due to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 16.

Trash pickup for regular Monday customers will happen on Tuesday, and so on. City offices, as well as many county and federal offices, as well as most schools and banks will be closed, as well.

If you live outside of South Bend and not sure what’s happening with your trash pickup, contact your provider.

For the week of January 16, trash pickup will be:

Monday, January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day observed, no trash pickup

Tuesday, January 17: Areas normally serviced on Monday

Wednesday, January 18: Areas normally serviced on Tuesday

Thursday, January 19: Areas normally serviced on Wednesday

Friday, January 20: Areas normally serviced on Thursday
