One man stabbed, another arrested in South Bend

A man was found stabbed and another was placed under arrest Tuesday morning.
Police in South Bend were called around 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 17, to the 100 block of Haney Avenue where they found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was taken to the hospital.
The suspect, John King, 62, was located near the 2400 block of South Michigan Street and placed under arrest on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
There was no immediate word about the victim’s condition or information about what led to the stabbing.
