City of Niles Planning Commission approves zoning for Round Barn brew pub

It’s two steps forward for a former church in Niles to become a brew pub.
The City of Niles Planning Commission approved both a resolution to rezone and a resolution approving a site plan for the Round Barn to take over property occupied by the former Grace United Methodist Church on Grant Street and transform it into the Grant Street Pub that will feature pub-style food, live music, and outdoor beer garden, and craft beverages, of course.
But it’s not a done deal, just yet.
Leader Publications reports a rezoning application needs to be reviewed by neighbors, city staff and the city council.
