One person was killed in a crash on U.S. 12 near Buchanan.

The collision happened around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, near Franklin Road.

Investigators say a semi and another vehicle collided head on, sending both vehicles into a ditch, and killing one of the drivers. Though roads were wet, at the time, investigators say weather does not factor into the incident.

The road remained closed well into the evening.
