Man charged with three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor

St. Joseph County Jail
A man is being charged with three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor after a victim came forward about an inappropriate relationship with the man.
The Department of Child Services received a sexual abuse report back in October of 2022 that involved a victim and 27-year-old Sean Mullins.
A previous report had been filed, but the victim came forward with additional information.
ABC 57 News says the victim told investigators he met Mullins and the two began spending a lot of time together, though he felt that Mullins was attempting to separate him from his family.
The victim said he felt conned into doing inappropriate things with Mullins, but that Mullins allegedly told him that they would both get in trouble if the victim talked about what they did. Reports also state that the victim said that Mullins would buy him anything he wanted.
According to reports, investigators spoke with a family member who said he saw the victim and Mullins asleep in a bed together in July of 2022, and that Mullins had his arm over the victim.
Court documents also say Mullins has another pending case for child molesting.
