Man involved in SWAT standoff in Elkhart identified

The man at the center of a SWAT standoff in Elkhart has been identified.
21-year-old Reeyon Young was taken into custody for outstanding warrants after the SWAT situation took place in the 600 block of West Lexington Avenue on Monday afternoon, Feb. 13.
Elkhart Police Department arrested Young on outstanding warrants — but not before he held them at bay, ignoring commands to exit the home.
Once he did come out, a 15 year-old girl, who was reported as a runaway from Michigan also came out of the home.
She was taken to the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center.
Young was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
