Bill may allow Hoosiers to clam new tax credit for small donation

(95.3 MNC)
A bill in the Indiana House would allow you to claim a new tax credit for a small donation.
Indiana Senate Bill 260, written by Republican State Rep Brian Buchanan, would allow you to claim a nonrefundable 25-percent tax credit if you happen to donate to a public school foundation in 2024 or 2025. The catch is it can’t exceed 1-thousand dollars filing single or 2-grand if you’re married filing jointly.
Representative Buchanan says the whole point of the bill is to help fund public school scholarships and other projects.
The bill is headed to the House.
