A former Berrien County employee has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography and criminal sexual conduct.

That’s according to the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office.

Joel Todd Johnson of St. Joseph is the former Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the county.

ABC 57 says Johnson was arrested in July last year after an 11-year-old-girl found Johnson’s cell phone recording her undressing.

Investigators found over 200 child pornography images on Johnson’s laptop with 23 that he reportedly created himself.

Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under age 13, one count of producing child pornography, and one count of embezzlement from $1,000 to $20,000
