Kabelin Ace Hardware has been bought by Houchens Food Group.

The Kentucky-based company will keep all eight Kabelin Ace stores – including locations in South Bend, Walkerton, New Carlisle, Granger, LaPorte and Michigan City – operating under the Ace Hardware name. The new company says they plan to retain all 150 employees.

Family-owned Kabelin has been serving Michiana for more than 100 years
