28-year-old woman shot, killed on C.R. 16

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says it was a 28-year-old woman who was shot and killed on Friday, Nov. 14, in the 29000 block of County Road 16.
Deputies were called around 8 a.m. and found the woman dead at the scene and a male suspect suffering from serious injuries.The suspect was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment.
Sheriff’s officials described the situation as an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is still leading the investigation. Brian Ford, MNC News.
