Crowdfunding campaign underway to raise money for Mishawaka ‘pocket park’

Mishawaka residents may have a new “pocket park” to enjoy soon.

That depends on the results of a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of 50 thousand dollars.

The pocket park is planned to be a small multipurpose area downtown with a big “Welcome to the Mish” mural painted on a brick wall in front of the new city hall.

The space would be ideal for spending time while waiting to eat at a local restaurant, or could be utilized by local bands, bible studies, or guest speakers.

The mural and interactive “Welcome to the Mish” sculpture will have a place for an individual to stand in place of the “I” in Mish.

And, a seating area will be installed for visitors to enjoy.

The crowdfunding campaign is open until April 6.
