Berrien County has a familiar face running for sheriff.

The current Undersheriff, Chuck, Heit says he is running in 2024, after the current sheriff, Paul Bailey, announced his retirement in February.

Heit is in his 21st year as the undersheriff.

He says that he plans to continue to build on that foundation that Bailey built, during two decades as sheriff.
