Saint Mary’s President Katie Conboy recently announced that Molly Burhans will deliver the 2023 commencement address on May 20th.
She’s a noted environmentalist, cartographer and social entrepreneur with work that combines faith, environmental stewardship and technology.
Currently an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, she will bring an inspiring story for graduates and will engage the audience.
President Conboy will also present the President’s Medal, a rare and exclusive medal for an individual, William Schmuhl, who offered exceptional contributions to the life of the college and society.
The ceremony will be in-person and live-streamed through the 2023 Commencement website.
