Honda recalling half a million CRVs

Honda is recalling CRVs in states that have cold weather due to a dangerous rust problem.

Nearly 564 thousand older small SUVs are included in the recall because road salt can cause the frame to rust, and rear suspension parts can come loose. Indiana and Michigan are part of the recall. Last week, safety regulators said salt can accumulate and cause corrosion, and the rear trailing arm could detach.

Owners will be notified by mail starting May 8th. There have been more than 5 dozen complaints, but no injuries or deaths have been reported.
