Indiana State Prison worker attacked by inmate to be laid to rest

The Indiana State Prison worker who died being attacked by an inmate armed with a metal pipe will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 20.

The attack happened last week at the Westville Correctional Facility.

Services for Mike Keel are taking place at Valparaiso Nazarene Church in Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, and funeral services will begin afterward. Following the services, attendees will go outside for the Honors portion of the ceremony.

Donations to the Keel Family Memorial and Educational Fund has been set up and can be made at any Horizon Bank.
