A 15-year-old girl was knocked unconscious after a crash on County Road 34, east of County Road 31.
It happened around 3:30, Thursday afternoon, when Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say a 69-year-old Osceola man was following another vehicle too closely and crashed into the back of it when the other driver slowed to make a left-hand turn.
The teenage girl in the vehicle that was struck was not wearing a seatbelt.
She was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital for care. Another woman in that vehicle also went to the hospital, complaining of pain.
