Bicyclist struck by semi on State Road 119 has died

The bicyclist who was struck by a semi on State Road 119, last week, has died.

The crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, on SR 119 near County Road 13.

Police say the semi driver did not see the bike’s reflectors and struck it from behind.

34-year-old Carl Prince of Goshen was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with serious head injuries and died on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old Elkhart man driving the semi was not hurt.

The crash is being investigated by the Elkhart County Crash Investigation team.
