A Plymouth man lost his life after a crash on U.S. 30 in LaPorte County.

The collision happened around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at the intersection with State Road 39.

Officers say a Honda driven by Brent Freyenberger, 39, was traveling westbound when he disregarded a red light and was struck by a semi-truck traveling southbound.

Freyenberger died at the scene. The semi driver suffered an upper-body injury.

The toxicology report is pending.
