Goshen man arrested after allegedly leading police on OWI-fueled chase

A man who led police in Goshen in a short car chase found himself in the fast lane to jail.

It was shortly after 12 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, when police say Alejandro Valdez Gomez, 47, was stopped for traffic infractions and led officers in a short vehicle pursuit.

Investigators say Alejandro was found to be under the influence of alcohol while having a juvenile in the vehicle. His certified chemical test registered .22 BAC.

He was taken to the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated endangerment with a minor passenger, operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of point-.15 or more with a minor passenger, resisting law enforcement, never obtaining a license and possession of pot.

Alejandro is 47…and has never had a license…someone call ICE please.
