Applications for the 2023 Lamppost Lighting Program are now open for South Bend homeowners.

The cost-share program is available to homeowners within South Bend city limits and assists homeowners with lighting enhancements in their neighborhoods, such as easy self-install, solar-powered lampposts for residential front yards.

This year the City of South Bend Department of Public Works has selected two target areas based on income, number of vacant lots and need for neighborhood lighting, and those living within the target areas will pay a lower share of the total cost.

Homeowners can apply for the program through June 1.
