Goshen shoplifting suspect charged with gun, drug-related counts

A man pulled over by Goshen Police, suspected in a shoplifting case, was arrested on a slew of gun and drug-related charges.

Officers were called to the Lassus Handy Dandy, around 1 p.m. on Monday, May 1, on Pike Street on the report of a theft of food items.

Soon after, cops caught up with the suspect, Adam Loftis of Goshen, in his vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

During the stop, investigators say officers found Loftis with in possession of a firearm. He was arrested for felony theft, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
