Male in late teens shot, seriously injured in Elkhart

A male in his late teens was shot, then dropped off at Elkhart General Hospital with serious injuries.

The shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.

911 dispatch started receiving multiple calls reporting multiple sounds of gunfire around the 500 block of Wagner Ave.

Elkhart Police Department officers dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter.

While at the scene, a male victim in his late teens was dropped off at Elkhart General Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim reported being shot in the area of Wagner Ave. and the 1300 block of Delaware St.

The male victim suffered serious injuries, and was still being treated as of late Wednesday night.
