A popular bar in Bloomington is being thrown in on a lawsuit over the death of an IU student last year.

You may remember when Nathaniel Stratton, who was riding an electric scooter in Bloomington one night in September 2022, was hit and killed by a drunk driver.

Stratton was hit by Madelyn Howard, who was driving after having been drinking at Kilroy’s.

Stratton’s family has added Kilroy’s as a defendant in their wrongful death civil suit against Howard.

The lawsuit says the bar over-served Howard in violation of state law because she was was visibly drunk.
