A woman has taken a plea deal after she admitted to accidentally hitting and killing a 13-year-old boy last October, in Steuben County, and then driving away.
Hope Richmond could spend 2 to 14.5 years in prison; she will also have to pay a fine and restitution, and will have her license suspended.
She told police that she had picked up Mexican food and was on her way home when she hit Wayden Bennett and his friend Ryly Cummings, who were on their way back from playing baseball.
Bennett died, but Cummings survived. Richmond should be sentenced in mid-July.

So that little boy death and the other ones injuries are only worth 2.5 years. The disastrous
D A’s have come to Iandiana to roost. If she claims she didn’t know she hit them she is so dangerous she needs to never be on the road again.
